SOLD P&W JT8D C-3 stator table

Pratt & Whitney is a huge American aircraft engine manufacturer, competing with General Electric and Rolls Royce for top position. The Pratt & Whitney JT8D turbofan engine has been built in large numbers. Almost 15,000 engines of the JT8D family have been built and it could be found on several common passenger aircraft types (Boeing 727, Boeing 737, DC-9, etc.).

Steampunk inspired

This table is made from the C-3 stator of a JT8D compressor. Also used are two so-called ‘spacers’ from the very same engine. The three engine elements have been powder coated in black. The table was constructed by using custom made brass connectors. By adding the yellow brass elements we have created a unique steampunk inspired side table. A glass plate covers this distinctive gem. This is a piece of furniture that will blend in easily in many different interiors and would be a perfect addition to a waiting room.
