P&W JT8D C-2 stator mirror
Pratt & Whitney is a huge American aircraft engine manufacturer, competing with General Electric and Rolls Royce for top position. The Pratt & Whitney JT8D turbofan engine has been built in large numbers. Almost 15,000 engines of the JT8D family have been built and it could be found on several common passenger aircraft types (Boeing 727, Boeing 737, DC-9, etc.).
Reflecting technology
This mirror is made from the C-2 stator of a JT8D compressor. We have removed the element from an original engine and had in powder coated in blue. A round mirror was attached to the back side. Two strings of LED lights have been added. One string lights up the mirror glass, the other lights up the back side of the ring with vanes. The result is a unique and striking mirror that reflects both your passion for aviation and your interior.
