Martin-Baker Mk6 ejection seat – polished

The Blackburn Buccaneer was known for its excellent performance during low-level operations over land and sea. The just over 200 aircraft of this type have been in use with the Royal Air Force, the Royal Navy and the South African Air Force. The operational days of the Buccaneer are long gone, but one might eventually fly again in South Africa (for a civil operator).

Not taking the back seat

This Martin-Baker Mk6 was once installed as the back seat in a Buccaneer. The state it is now, bears no resemblance to taking a back seat though. The seat has been painstakingly cleaned and polished. A custom made stand was designed and leather seats have been added. A magnificent piece that will draw attention and spark conversation.
