SOLD Fairchild C-119 Flying Boxcar cockpit seat
The Fairchild C-119 Flying Boxcar was an American military transport aircraft designed for a large number of transport duties. Of the more than 1,100 aircraft of this type that were built from 1949, the majority ended up with the United States military (USAF, USN and USMC). Several other countries, including Belgium and Italy, ended up using the type as well.
Cockpit use
The seat we are selling has been in use as the seat for either the pilot of the co-pilot of a C-119. It has been cleaned, painted grey, the armrest have been upholstered in red. The same colour was used for the new headrest on the seat. The seat height adjustment system still works. The seatbelts complete the item. A very interesting addition any aviation themed room.
