Douglas DC-3/C-47 Dakota propeller

The Douglas DC-3 was developed by Douglas in the 1930s. Over 600 were built before the aircraft was developed into the C-47 Skytrain/Dakota that became famous in World War II where it was put to use on almost all battlefields to resupply men and materials. It changed the way people were transported. The aircraft had two engines, each driving a three-bladed propeller.

Needle type blades

This original propeller has three Hamilton-Standard 6565A-18 blades. They are also known as needle type blades, because of their shape. This type is the oldest version of the DC-3/C-47 propeller blades. The propeller comes with a custom-made stand and can be disassembled for transport. The propeller is huge, ideal for making statements. It is an awesome prop(eller) for events or in a lobby or reception.
